Proactive news summary: CloudTag, Fox Marble, Metminco, Seeing Machines and more...

A boost for Fox Marble Holdings, Metminco moves in Columbian gold and an exciting update on Seeing Machines' tech.

Today, Marble quarries operator Fox Marble Holdings (LON:FOX) announced it was to receive €390,000 into its coffers from major customer Eboracum Limited as an advanced payment as part of a €2mln order placed in January. It reflects the material on hand that is ready for shipment.

In other news, copper explorer Metminco Ltd PLC (LON:MNC ) has moved into Colombian gold with the acquisition of the Quinchia project.

The Quinchia portfolio covers 6,000 hectares of granted concessions contains a number of deposits and exploration targets including Miraflores, Dosquebradas and Tesorito.

Meanwhile, new in-house estimates have increased the net present value and underlying earnings potential of Xtract Resources PLC’s (LON:XTR) Manica gold project.

Xtract cautioned however that the numbers had not been verified by independent consultants and have a high probability of changing as the DFS is completed.

Over at Seeing Machines (LON:SEE), the eye-tracking technology group delivered an exciting update on its breakthrough driver monitoring system alongside interim results, which recorded a near 600% rise in revenues and a decisive move into profitability.

The AIM-listed group said it and its partner Takata, the Japanese auto parts firm, had landed a follow-on order for the next-generation DMS by an “unnamed but global” car manufacturer.

Elsewhere, CloudTag (LON:CTAG) has raised a further £65,000 from Spreadex as a result of strong demand for the share issue announced on 29 February.

Shares in the wearable technology company initially rose to 2.37p from Friday night's close of 2.13p before ebbing to 2.18p on news that the shares had been issued at 2.5p a pop.

Frontier IP Group’s (LON:FIPP) holding in Nandi Proteins, a spin-off from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, is worth around £800,000 more after a funding round at double the price of the previous one.

Nandi raised £250,000 from new and existing investors at a price which values it at £7.6mln. Frontier IP retains a 20.8% holding.

And finally, the La Parrilla tungsten project in Spain is capital efficient and can be quickly scaled up to higher production rates at low costs, according to new engineering work, said W Resources PLC (LON:WRES).

The studies in Germany show it can be executed in three phases at an estimated cost of US$16mln. This will then be scaled up to 2,600 tpa at the low incremental cost of US$6mln.
