Proactive news summary: LGO Energy, Madagascar Oil, Motive TV, WYG and more...

Poles on the dole, backing for Petroceltic in low-ball bid and Motive TV is switching off.

EU funds are again starting to flow following the recent hiatus in spending,” declared chief executive Paul Hamer.

His management consultancy firm WYG (LON:WYG) has just landed a €5.8mln contract to support the Polish government's initiative to help the country’s unemployed.

The London-listed project manager and technical consultancy will provide short-term training and initial assistance to the out-of-work, helping the Silesian Labour Office over eight districts.

In other news, Petroceltic (LON:PCI) has been backed in its defence against an apparent low-ball takeover offer from activist shareholder Worldview Capital.

Chairman Robert Adair’s investment vehicle Skye Investments, has issued a statement announcing its ‘firm intention’ not to accept the £6.4mln takeover

Elsewhere, LGO Energy (LON:LGO) reached an agreement with its lender which saw its debt repayment reduced.

The scheduled payment for March is now down to $100,000, and after that the remaining balance will be recovered over the following 18 months.

Meanwhile, SeaEnergy (LON:SEA) said it was looking to sell parts of the business after trading had been rocked by a further downturn in sentiment in the oil and gas sector.

Things looked like they were picking up in late 2015 but then trading in the oil and gas industry took another turn for the worse, resulting more cancellations and delays.

Over at Madagascar Oil (LON:MOIL), the company’s independent directors have now elected to draw-down $2mln under the recently agreed funding deal.

It has put in motion its initial funding arrangements which will trigger the possible de-listing of the company from AIM.

Rare Earth Minerals (LON:REM) has raised its stake in the Cinovec lithium deposit in the Czech Republic to 19.8% by bumping up its stake in owner European Metals.

It took part in a placing by EMH (LON:EMH) that raised just over £912,000. The additional 7.9% stake cost Rare Earth £670,000.

Nostra Terra (LON:NTOG), the oil and gas exploration and production company, has raised funds by issuing shares at a small premium.

It has raised gross proceeds of £350,000 via the issue of 350mln shares raising the number of shares in issue to 3.71bn.

And finally, tablet TV provider Motive Television (LON:MTV) is switching off as it filed for administration.

Trading in Motive shares has been suspended since February after the group failed to appoint a replacement nomad.
