Risers & Fallers: Coats Group, Earthport, Ferrum Crescent, SolGold, Solid State, Tlou Energy

Some good news on the dividends front from RSA and Lloyds, while reinsurer Beazley is moving management back to the UK.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4.15pm.

RISERS

Tlou Energy (LON:TLOU), up 23.3%. The company revealed the commencement of gas production testing from the Selemo 1 pilot well.

SolGold (LON:SOLG), up 14%. Intense mineralisation is being found in hole 16 at the Cascabel copper project in Ecuador, the company said.

Coats Group (LON:COA), up 13%. The threads manufacturer said adjusted earning per share rose 38% to 3.96 cents.

FALLERS

Solid State (LON:SOLI), down 35%. The Ministry of Justice is to terminate its contract with Solid State.

Ferrum Crescent (LON:FCR), down 33%. The company has raised £179,618 by issuing shares at 0.12p per share. The shares fell to 0.14%.

Earthport (LON:EPO), down 28%. The e-commerce firm flagged a potential financial loss of £5mln due to fraud. The group made a number of payments on behalf of a corporate customer that had subsequently gone into administration, it said.

RISERS

Serco (LON:SRP), up 14%. Results from the outsourcing specialist were a little above expectations, suggesting that the turnaround is gaining momentum.

RSA Insurance Group (LON:RSA), up 13%. The insurance giant posted a 43% rise in annual operating profit and more than trebled its dividend.

Lloyds Banking Group (LON:LLOY), up 11%. Lloyds reported a 5% rise in underlying profit to £8.1bn. The bank set aside another £4bn for insurance mis-selling claims, taking the total to £16bn,

FALLERS

Capita (LON:CPI), down 5.9%. Concerns about the order pipeline dragged down the outsourcing giant.

Beazley (LON:BEZ), down 4.5%. The reinsurance outfit has been tempted by legislative changes to move the management of the company to the UK. The company is currently incorporated in Jersey while its tax residence in Ireland.

Fidelity China Special Situations (LON:FCSS), down 1.8%. Given the Shanghai Composite plunged 6.4% this morning, the company has got off relatively lightly.

RISERS

Red Leopard Holdings (LON:RLH), up 100%. The silver mine developer reckons market conditions have improved enough for it to step up their efforts on the proposed Idora Tunnel in northern Idaho.

New World Resources (LON:NWR), up 25%. The shares took a battering yesterday after the company said it is contemplating closing some of its coal mines, but the market is having second thoughts today, suggesting it over-reacted.

Crimson Tide (LON:TIDE), up 24%. The scheduling app specialist said its results for 2015 will be better than the market had been expecting.

FALLERS

Beowulf Mining (LON:BEM), down 29%. The shares fell to 4.375p as the iron ore and graphite projects developer announced plans to raise £1.25mln through the issue of shares at 3.25p each.

Molins (LON:MLIN), down 17%. According to chief executive, Dick Hunter, the results for 2015 were in line with market expectations, but the company is saving the pennies by cutting the final dividend from 5.5p to 4.0p.

Tristel (LON:TSTL), down 13%. The shares were hammered yesterday after solid interims were undermined by indications that the hygiene products company will have to increase R&D investment to secure approval for two of its products to be sold in the USA.
