Shares of Ocular Therapeutix (NASDAQ:OCUL) soared by 61% on Wednesday following a positive meeting with the US Food and Drug Administration.
Ocular signalled its Phase 3 clinical development strategy for its OTX-TP (travoprost) drug product candidate for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Ocular Therapeutix plans to begin the first of two planned Phase 3 clinical trials in the third quarter of 2016.
Shares were last seen up 35% at US$8.44, having earlier raced up to a session peak of US$10.09.
