Risers

Tribal Group (LON:TRB) up 13.7% to 29p. Education management software supplier appoints former IT company executive Ian Bowles as chief executive.

Stratmin Global Resources (LON:STGR) up 10% to 2.75p. Graphite production and exploration company announces continued success in its ongoing operational improvement programme at its Loharano deposit in Madagascar.

UK Oil & Gas Investments (LON:UKOG) up 10.1% to 2.18p. Oil & gas company reported further significant oil flows at the Horse Hill-1 crude discovery on the northern side of the Weald Basin near Gatwick airport.

Fallers

Northcote Energy (LON:NCT) down 3.7% at 0.06p. US-focused oil and gas company appointed Jay Wettig as vice president of its Oklahoma operations, which it is trying to hive off into a joint venture after deciding an outright sale was unlikely due to falling oil prices.

Pressure Technologies (LON:PRES) down 3.7% at 168.5p. Oil & gas engineering group said it was dependent on the timing of receipt of large orders in its cylinders and alternative energy division to meet market expectations and the third quarter of the financial year will be critical to this, with profits heavily skewed to the second half.

88 Energy (LON:88E) down 5% to 1.22p. Alaska-focused oil & gas group confirms it issued a total of 24,758,964 fully paid ordinary shares pursuant to the exercise of options.

Risers

KBC Advanced Technologies (LON:KBC), up 17.7% to 216p. Industrial automation specialist Yokogawa has made a 210p per share cash takeover offer, which values the group at £180mln.

Solo Oil (LON:SOLO), up 9.6% to 0.34p. Wednesday brought more flow test results, which like yesterday showed the well was able to flow in excess of 450 barrels of oil per day from one of three zones.

Electrocomponents (LON:ECM), up 8.35% to 227p. The British distributor was this morning upgraded by HSBC to ‘buy’ from ‘hold’.

Fallers

AfriAg (LON:AFRI), down 25% to 0.07p. The Africa focussed food logistics group confirmed, after Tuesday’s market close, that it would be de-listing from AIM and moving onto ICAP’s ISDX following a vote at a shareholders meeting.

600 Group (LON:SIXH), down 27% to 9.5p. The industrial products business cautioned over continued weakness in its European and US markets.

CityFibre (LON:CFHL), down 9% to 51p. Non-executive director Gary Mesch has sold 250,000 shares for 50p each.

RISERS

Premier African Minerals (LON:PAF) up 23% to 0.4p. Shares have rallied after loan note conversion. Expects first cashflow from RHA Zimbabwe in the Spring. Processing of underground ore expected to start in next few days.

Mirada (LON:MIRA) up 23% to 5.36p . The company's over-the-top (OTT) content solution for izzi Telecom in Mexico has been launched commercially. The customer is part of Grupo Televisa, one of Latin America’s largest media groups.

Metminco (LON:MNC) up 14% to 0.18p. Copper explorer starts drilling at new target at Los Calatos deposit in Peru. Parties interested in partnering on the project are conducting due diligence.

FALLERS

600 Group (LON:SIXH) down 25% to 9.85p. Weakness in European markets has now spread to the US, principally in the machine tools division. Results to be below market estimates.

Obtala (LON:OBT) down 11% to 6.03p. Plans to float forestry business on hold after three specialist timber investors agreed to inject US$3mln.

Afriag (LON:AFRI) down 25% to 0.075p. Shareholders voted to delist from AIM on 23 February.
