Chemistry technology specialist Celanese Corporation (NYSE:CE) has appointed a new executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Lori Johnston, the company's senior vice president of human resources, will take on the new role alongside her role in Human Resources.
Johnston will be responsible for government affairs, communication, the Celanese Foundation and developing the corporate security function.
Mark Rohr, chairman and chief executive, said: “As Celanese continues to grow, Lori's capabilities in these additional areas will contribute to our performance as a global company.”
Johnston was instrumental in the development and implementation of the firm’s complementary two-core business operating model, Rohr said, having served as its VP of human resources since 2012.
She has also previously held management positions at the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and Dell (NASDAQ:DELL).
