Risers & Fallers: Action Hotels, CAP-XX, First Property Group, Iofina, Nature Group, Premier African

A tremendous boost for Premier African Minerals, the operator and 49% stakeholder in the RHA tungsten project, which has had a financing offer from local financial institution.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4.00pm.

RISERS

Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM), up 23.1%. Direct finance to the RHA tungsten mine, in which the company holds a 49% interest, has been offered by a local Zimbabwe-based banking institution.

CAP-XX (LON:CPX), up 22.7%. The super-capacitor specialist said the memorandum of understanding with an existing customer in the automotive trade has been extended.

Action Hotels (LON:AHCG), up 14.3%. The trading update this morning was well-received, after which shares received an additional boost from the news significant stake-holder Blakeney has upped its shareholding by 500,000 shares to 17.66mln.

FALLERS

Iofina (LON:IOF), down 18.8%. Chief financial officer Neil Hekking has resigned with immediate effect, due to family health and relocation issues.

Nature Group (LON:NGR), down 12.7%. The provider of port reception and maritime was treatment solutions services issued a profit warning.

First Property (LON:FPO), down 4.6%. Shares in the property fund manager dipped after group finance director revealed he had transferred 148,456 First Property shares into his self-invested personal pension by way of a sale at 48.5p and repurchase at 48.52p per share. His holding remains unchanged at 620,000 shares, equivalent to 0.53% of the issued ordinary share capital of the company.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes among FTSE 350 stocks at 1.00pm.

RISERS

Weir Group (LON:WEIR), up 7.1%. Deutsche Bank has reiterated its 'buy' recommendation ahead of the engineer's results on Wednesday week. It has reset the earnings multiple for the sector, as a result of which the target price has been reduced to 1,200p from 1,360p.

BGEO Group (LON:BGEO), up 6.9%. It does not take much to get shareholders of BGEO excited; the shares surged after the holding company of JSC Bank of Georgia announced it would release its fourth quarter results tomorrow.

Reckitt Benckiser (LON:RB.), up 6.6%. Results from the fast moving consumer brands titan got the thumbs-up, with the market especially pleased with the increase in the gross margin in 2015 to 59.1% from 57.7% the year before.

FALLERS

Acacia Mining (LON:ACA), down 9.8%. Full-year results took the steam out of the sails of the gold mining company, with the company writing down the value of its assets at Buzwagi by $189mln, reflecting the slide last year in the gold price. Today's fall in the price of gold has not helped much, either.

Fresnillo (LON:FRES), down 3.2%. Although largely thought of as a silver miner, Fresnillo also has gold interests and, like all gold miners today, it is under the cosh.

Randgold Resources (LON:RRS), down 2.6%. Another gold miner's share price melting today, as the spot price of gold bullion falls 2.3%.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 9.30am.

RISERS

88 Energy (LON:88E), up 98.7%. The shares double as the company said analysis confirms that Icewine #1, its exploration well in Alaska, cored a new resource play type.

Coms (LON:COMS), up 41.7%. The “smart buildings” specialist said most of the legacy issues inherited by the current board have been resolved, and results for the year to the end of January 2016 will be ahead of expectations.

Keras Resources (LON:KRS), up 20.0%. There has been a good reaction to managing director Dave Reeves's interview on Friday with Proactive Investors in which he spoke about the company's new gold venture in Australia, which is on time and on budget.

FALLERS

All Leisure (LON:ALLG), down 50.0%. The company said in its results statement it is actively considering delisting from Aim.

e-Therapeutics (LON:ETX), down 34.6%. The company said it will spend more time analysing the mixed data from the phase IIb study of its most advanced drug candidate, ETS6103.

Magnolia Petroleum (LON:MAGP), down 21.1%. The onshore energy extractor has raised £300,000 by placing shares at 0.14p each. The shares fell 0.04p to 0.15p on the news.
