Iofina (LON:IOF), the iodine producer, said Malcolm Lewin has been hired as interim finance chief after Neil Hekking stepped down.
Hekking's resignation is due to family health and relocation issues and the board extends its very best wishes, it said in the statement.
Lewin has over 30 years' experience of finance and accounting and has worked with Iofina on previous finance-related and AIM projects and is based in the UK.
Hekking said today: " With regret I must step down as CFO of Iofina to focus on family matters.
"I am appreciative of having been part of the Iofina family and I wish the team much success for the future."
Last month, the AIM group said it continued to look at streamlining costs as it reported an increase in production of crystalline iodine from its US plants for 2015.
It produced 569.1 metric tonnes - a 73$ increase on the 327.7MT for 2014 but still just marginally shy of previous guidance of 570 to 580 metric tonnes.
