NetScientific government contract to commence Phase II trials

PDS Biotechnology is to partner with the US National Cancer Institute for phase II clinical trials.

One of NetScientific’s (LON:NSCI) portfolio companies is to partner with the US National Cancer Institute for phase II clinical trials of a novel range of cancer immunotherapies.

PDS Biotechnology has signed a co-operative research and development agreement with the NCI to develop treatments using its Versamune platform for tumour-related proteins in prostate, breast, and HPV-related cancers.

Francois Martelet, NetScientific's chief executive, said: "Securing a cooperative research and development agreement with the leading cancer research institute in the US is a landmark moment for PDS Biotechnology and a huge endorsement of its technology.”

Versamune enables the design of simple subcutaneous immunotherapies that efficiently deliver tumour antigens to the patient's own immune system, while simultaneously stimulating the generation of potent tumour-killing T-cells.

Shares in NetScientific were 1.2% lower at 85p.
