It seems the Vodafone (LON:VOD)/Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) global thang is back on. The UK mobile giant confirmed on Tuesday it was now holding talks with Liberty over a joint venture in the Netherlands incorporating both groups' local companies. Last September talks between the pair about possible asset swaps ended, with Vodafone saying a potential merger was not on the table. Today, Vodafone said there was no certainty a Netherlands deal will be agreed. In London, Vodafone shares eased 0.93%, while Liberty Global's eased 0.47% in New York to US$33.83.
