US Risers & Fallers: Zafgen, GenVec, TASER, Kingtone, Turtle Beach, Valmie Resources

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes as at 2:40 p.m. in New York.

RISERS:

Zafgen (NASDAQ:ZFGN) surged 61% to $9.12 after the biopharmaceutical company reported positive data on its obesity drug, beloranib.

GenVec (NASDAQ:GNVC) rose 4.6% to $0.494 after the clinical-stage gene delivery company, said it is awaiting further guidance from Novartis (NYSE:NVS), its partner on the CGF166 study, which the Swiss company paused earlier this month.

TASER International (NASDAQ:TASR) advanced 2.7% to $14.89 after the provider of conducted electrical weapons announced multiple orders of its TASER brand next generation Smart Weapons.

Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution Holding (NASDAQ:KONE) jumped 30% to $3.97 after the China-based provider of mobile enterprise solutions swung to profit in its most recent fiscal year as revenue surged.

FALLERS:

Turtle Beach (NASDAQ:HEAR) slipped 2.7% to $1.44 after the audio technology company said it expects the 2015 holiday season’s headset revenue will be at the low end of its guidance.

Valmie Resources (OTCBB:VMRI) sank 43% to $0.113. The U.S. technology company said that Inbright, a Mexico-based drone developer, is currently preparing a live exhibition of its multi-rotor drone platform in preparation for merging the technologies of the two firms.
