RISERS
Management Resource Solutions (LON:MRS), up 25.8%. The Aussie human resources company only came to the market in December 2011, but has already changed it spots with a reverse takeover of Bachmann Plant Hire that will see the company's shares effectively be cancelled and then readmitted to AIM.
Marechale Group (LON:MAC), up 21.4%. The shares are up; the company does not know why and neither do we.
ScS Group (LON:SCS), up 18.0%. Easter was bad but Christmas was good, apparently, continuing the up-and-down fortunes of the sofas seller.

RISERS
Glencore (LON:GLEN), up 13.2%. The miners are in fashion after Chinese data released overnight signalled the need for the Chinese authorities to juice up the economy some more.

Rio Tinto (LON:RIO), up 5.4%. A rise of more than 5% is not to be sniffed at, though the mining heavy weight is somewhat put in the shade by its peers. Rio said this morning it expects to increase iron ore production even further in the current year despite the price being crippled by a glut of the metal.
