Investors cheered as vehicle tracking and fleet management specialist Quartix reported its profit and revenue for last year will beat market hopes.

Investors cheered as vehicle tracking and fleet management specialist Quartix (LON:QTX) reported its profit and revenue for last year will beat market hopes.

The firm, which will release results for the year to December at the end of next month, said its combined base in the USA and France almost doubled in the year, to 11,000 units.

As a result, both profit and sales will be “ahead of market expectations”.

Shares in the firm added over 9% to stand at 265p.

Elsewhere, wearable technology specialist CloudTag (LON:CTAG) said it expects orders will flow from its debut at the CES ‘geekfest’ in Las Vegas as it announced it has raised £1.25mln in debt finance.

Shares in the firm were unchanged at 2.125p.

Also in tech, eg solutions (LON:EGS), the workforce optimisation firm, revealed it had returned to profit in the second half of the financial year as it updated on recent trading.

For the year, the business is expected to be at break-even – which is in line with market forecasts.

This, however, will be achieved on slightly lower turnover as a number of deals won’t close by the end of the month.

MySQUAR has two million users in the former Burma and recently entered a cross-promotion partnership with international telecoms provider Ooredoo.
