Theralase debuts next generation therapeutic laser in US

The Canadian biotech maker will be performing product demonstrations of the TLC-2000 at a Las Vegas seminar.

Theralase Technologies (CVE:TLT, OTCMKTS:TLTFF), a biotechnology manufacturer, said it will debut its next generation TLC-2000 Therapeutic Medical Laser System, at the Parker Seminar event in Las Vegas from January 14 to 16.

The Toronto based company said in a statement on Thursday that it will be performing product demonstrations of the TLC-2000 for the first time since receiving formal clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada in late 4Q2015.

The TLC-2000 is a next generation therapeutic laser that has the ability to heal a patient’s injury faster and more effectively than any other technology on the market, the company said.

Chiropractors attending the meeting will be able to test-drive the state-of-the-art system; including, its ability to control 4 laser probes simultaneously to treat multiple locations on one or multiple patients, achieving higher efficiencies and better patient flow in their clinics.

Immediately following the seminar, Theralase will start a dedicated marketing program in both Canada and the US aimed at promoting the benefits and advantages of the TLC-2000 technology over existing technologies to a wide range of healthcare practitioners.

Shares closed down 5.1% at C$0.3750 in Toronto on Wednesday, paring gains over the past three months to 23%.
