Risers & Fallers: Aminex, Coal of Africa, Kimberly Ents, LGO Energy, Rockhopper, Webis Holdings

Home Retail is back in play as Sainsbury's releases a slide show presentation of its pitch to buy the Argos and Homebase owner.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes today.

RISERS

LGO Energy (LON:LGO), up 36.8%. No news from the company but it did put itself up for sale a month ago so maybe some action is imminent.

Aminex (LON:AEX), up 15.0%. Another oiler on the rise; the company now now has a signed gas sales agreement for the Kiliwani North gas field, which means it can begin production and generate its first revenues from Tanzania.

Rockhopper Exploration (LON:RKH), up 14.8%. It is a hat-trick for energy companies, with the Falklands-focused explorer revealing plans have been upgraded for the first phase of the Sea Lion oil field development, in the North Falkland basin.

LOSERS

Kimberly Enterprises (LON:KBE), down 23.5%. The good news is the AIM-quoted Eastern European residential property developer has completed the disposal of two Canadian residential developments for a total cash consideration of C$ 20.2mln. The less good news is the company will cover less than half the outstanding debt to Engel Resources and Development.

Coal of Africa (LON:CZA), down 15.6%. The Integrated Water Use Licence for its Vele Colliery in the Limpopo Province has been renewed for a further twenty years. The company is, however, still waiting on a decision relating to a non-perennial stream diversion.

Webis (LON:WEB), down 11.7%. The company's WatchandWager.com subsidiary has signed a further three-year contract with the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The shares shot up to 2.74p this morning but crashed to 1.625p in the afternoon, down 0.22p on the day.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes among FTSE 350 stocks at 1.15pm.

RISERS

Electrocomponents (LON:ECM), up 6.0%. Barclays issued a note on the stock, nudging up the target price to 212p from 210p.

Home Retail Group (LON:HOME), up 5.0%. This morning's trading update from Sainsbury's (LON:SBRY) put some flesh on the supermarket chains vision of Home Retail becoming part of the retail group.

G4S (LON:GFS), up 4.0%. Bank of America Merrill Lynch has upgraded the security solutions provider to 'buy' from 'neutral'.

FALLERS

Jimmy Choo (LON:CHOO), down 4.7%. One of yesterday's big risers stumbles today as Barclays Capital moved to an equal weight recommendation from overweight.

Dunelm Group (LON:DNLM), down 4.1%. This morning's update trading update disappointed, but at least the company is not considering a bid for Home Retail's Homebase stores, according to Dunelm's boss, John Browett.

BBA Aviation (LON:BBA), down 2.4%. Citi has issued a 'buy' note with a 210p price target but Liberum Capital has moved to 'sell' from 'hold'.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes as at 9.15am.

RISERS

Shoe Zone (LON:SHOE), up 12.6%. Full-year results included the surprise announcement of a special dividend of 6p. The shares rose 21p.

Tullow Oil (LON:TLW), up 11.2%. The company reassured the market with news of its hedging arrangements, which are worth in excess of US$600mln. It said it has some US$1.9bn of financial headroom.

Tungsten Corporation (LON:TUNG), up 2.8%. It is not one of today's big risers, but it has risen this week from 43.5p at Friday's close to 63.75p. Edmund Truell, vice chairman of the company, acquired a contract for difference over 100,000 ordinary shares at a price of 56.99p per share.

LOSERS

Independent Oil & Gas, down 39.1%. The company has taken the sensible but painful decision to defer drilling of the Skipper appraisal well in the North Sea until the weather improves and the oil market stabilises.

Premier African Minerals, down 21.1%. The shares fell to 0.375p as the multi-commodity mining and resource development company raised £232,000 by issuing shares at 0.33p each.

Base Resources (LON:BSE), down 10.5%. The company has received a force majeure notice from a counter-party to an ilmenite sales agreement seeking to suspend the counter-party’s obligations under the agreement.
