Optibiotix Health (LON:OPTI) has agreed a new commercial tie-up with KSF Acquisition which will help the promotion of the AIM company’s weight management product.
KSF is the company behind the SlimFast brand in the UK, Ireland, and Germany.
It will provide Optibiotix with funding to assess the benefits of using its SlimBiome weight management product alongside KSF's weight management dietary programme.
Significantly, the new arrangement gives KSF the option to commercialise the SlimBiome product.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of this commercial agreement with KSF, whose dietary programme is a trusted and well recognised global brand in weight management,” said chief executive Stephen O'Hara.
“This agreement brings together OptiBiotix's novel science with KSF's industry expertise, product range, and market reach to access a market estimated globally to be worth US$622bn in 2015.
“OptiBiotix continues to make strong commercial progress across all it platforms consistent with its strategy of creating multiple product and partnering opportunities for large global markets with an unmet need."
SlimBiome contains ingredients clinically proven to reduce weight, Optibiotix says, and it is designed to act in three different ways; to affect appetite, metabolism, and what is termed as ‘energy harvest’.
