On the traditionally slow first day of the week for blue-chip news, small caps usually provide the interest and so it was on Monday.
Theme-park software provider Galasys (LON:GLS) got a boost late last year by winning 25 contracts worth a total of £1.1mln, it said, including for Asia's first animation park due to be complete this year. Shares were flat at 17p.
"This latest batch of new contracts adds to the group's already impressive portfolio and I reiterate my confidence in the continuing success of Galasys," said chief executive Sean Seah.
Kibo Mining (LON:KIBO) said it had made good progress in discussions with Tanzania’s state power group over a deal for electricity generated from the Mbeya coal-fired power project. Shares fell 2.4% to 5p.
Meanwhile, Rex Bionics (LON:RXB), which has developed robotic legs to allow wheelchair users to walk again, had Stateside expansion in mind as it hired an industry specialist as a new director to help develop the business in the US.

Anglo Asian Mining’s (LON:AAZ) chief executive Reza Vaziri, has extended his US$4mln loan facility with the Azerbaijan-based gold and copper miner.
Some US$3.9mln is outstanding under the facility, which became due on 8 January. Net debt of the company overall at end 2015 was $49.2mln, some $3.2mln lower than a year ago.
Interactive TV gaming firm NetPlay TV (LON:NPT) told investors it had withdrawn from talks with betting firm Sportech (LON:SPO) over buying its football pools business.
It comes as it emerged that Sportech has received a "number of proposals" for the pools business and invited parties to submit final proposals by mid-January 2016. Sportech shares rose 0.25p to 60p but Netplay dropped 0.5p to 6.88p.
India-focused online fashion firm Koovs (LON:KOOV) will raise around £4.5mln through a premium priced share issue to continue its bid to build it into the top affordable western fashion destination in the country by 2020.

Gulf Keystone (LON:GKP) has revealed that its 20% owned Akri-Bijeel asset is being given up.
The oil company had expected to pocket ‘hundreds of millions’ from the sale of a stake in the Kurdistan-based project when it put it up for sale back in September 2011.
A little over four years - and no deals - later, the project’s operator MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas has decided to relinquish the project.
