Coeur Mining (NYSE:CDE), a primary silver producer, reported 2015 silver production at the high-end of its guidance, in addition to 2015 gold output in line with its own forecast.
Full-year 2015 production was 15.9mln silver ounces, at the high-end of Coeur’s guidance of 15.2-16.1mln ounces, and 327,908 gold ounces, in-line with Coeur’s guidance of 309,000 - 338,000 ounces, the Chicago, Illinois-based company said in a statement on Monday.
Coeur said that in the fourth quarter it produced 4.0mln ounces of silver and 91,551 ounces of gold, or 9.5mln silver equivalent ounces.
Full-year silver equivalent production totaled 35.6 million ounces, at the high-end of company guidance of 33.7 - 36.4 million ounces.
Looking ahead, Coeur expects to produce 14.6 - 16.0 million ounces of silver and 320,000 - 347,000 ounces of gold, or 33.8 - 36.8mln silver equivalent ounces in 2016.
Shares have lost 60% over the past twelve months to close at $2.32 on Friday.
