Comtech Telecommunications (NASDAQ:CMTL), via a subsidiary, has received a US$3.4mln order for amplifiers to be used in an in-flight connectivity application.
This order is a follow-on production award in a growing commercial airborne market, the tech firm said.
Dr Stanton Sloane, Comtech chief executive, said: "Connectivity is fundamental to modern life.

“Comtech has developed industry-leading airborne amplifier technology to deliver superior high-speed communication services to the traveling public.”
Comtech amplifiers are available for fixed and ground-based, ship-board, and airborne mobile applications.
The group operates via three segments - telecommunications transmission, RF microwave amplifiers and mobile data communications.
Shares were down 1.38% at the time of writing to US$19.26.
