Avation (LON:AVAP), the commercial leasing firm, has delivered a third aircraft to UK carrier Flybe.
It is another ATR 72-600, a turbo-prop plane that is the work-horse of most short-haul routes.
The plane is being operated under a “wet lease” deal by Flybe for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).
It is the 26th ATR 72 purchased by Avation since 2011, making the firm the second largest lessor of this line of aircraft globally.
It expects to deliver a further four in 2016.
Chairman Jeff Chatfield said: "We are pleased to be able to deliver this third new ATR 72-600 aircraft to Flybe for operation in Scandinavia for SAS.
“The delivery is part of a programme with Flybe which continues into 2016.
“We believe the ATR 72 is the most efficient aircraft type for regional routes, resulting from its low fuel consumption and overall the lowest operating costs in its class.”
