Investments and investor services

Risers & Fallers: CH Bailey, Ferrexpo, Gable Holdings, Polo Resources, Premier Vet., Red Rock

A name change might be in order for Premier Veterinary now it has sold its veterinary business

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at the close of trading.

RISERS

Premier Veterinary Group (LON:PVG), up 26.9%. The shares shot up to 125p, putting a market value of £17.4mln, after the company sold its veterinary business for £6.5mln in cash.

Polo Resources (LON:POL), up 18.5%. The investor in natural resources made a loss after tax as a result of paper-based losses on investments, but with US$21.5mln in cash and prices getting cheaper, there are some bargains out there for the company.

Ferrexpo (LON:FXPO), up 14.3%. Ferrexpo's principal transactional bank in Ukraine, Bank Finance and Credit, has been declared insolvent and has had its banking licence revoked.

LOSERS

Gable Holdings (LON:GAH), down 28.2%. Gable has entered into funding arrangements such that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gable Insurance AG meets the initial capital requirements on 1 January 2016 necessary to move into the Solvency II regime, thus reducing Gable's reported profits for 2015 by around £2mln.

Red Rock Resources (LON:RRR), down 16.7%. Resolutions were passed at the annual general meeting that mean the proposed capital reorganisation will go ahead.

C H Bailey (LON:BLEY), down 14.1%. A loss after tax of £717,182 was made a lot worse by a foreign currency swing of £471,271 compared to last year.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes among FTSE 350 companies at 12.15pm.

RISERS

Glencore (LON:GLEN), up 7.1%. Citigroup has raised its target price on the commodities trader from 130p to 160p.

Anglo American (LON:AAL), up 5.2%. US broker has reiterated its 'outperform' recommendation for the mining group and set a punchy 1,010p price target for the shares, currently trading at 293.2p.

Drax Group (LON:DRX), up 4.3%. The decidedly unsexy power generator has a fan in Deutsche Bank, which has upped its stake to 12.43mln shares, giving it a stake of 3.06%, from 11.13mln shares previously.

FALLERS

International Personal Finance (LON:IPF), down 2.9%. Nicholas Page retired from the board last Friday. He was head of the Audit & Risk Committee.

Coca-Cola HBC (LON:CCH), down 2.5%. The company had a good run last week but sees a bit of profit taking today, despite the company announcing it recently bought back 100,000 shares at around 1,498.35p a share, 37.36p above the current share price.

Caledonia Investments (LON:CLDN), down 0.4%. The acquisition of Gala Bingo, which was conditional on change of control approval by the Gambling Commission, has now been granted.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 10.00am.

RISERS

Watchstone Group (LON:WTG), up 73.7%. The trading halt on the company formerly known as Quindell has been lifted now the dust has settled on last week's announcement of the reduction and return of capital.

Weatherly International (LON:WTI), up 38.5%. The company has executed the amended loan repayment deferral arrangement with its largest shareholder, Orion Mine Finance.

Independent Oil & Gas (LON:IOG), up 24.2%. The stock is still in demand after being confirmed last Friday as the exploration operator of the Skipper licence in the North Sea.

FALLERS

AfriAg (LON:AFRI), down 32.0%. David Lenigas has retired as chairman of the Company with immediate effect. Hamish Harris has been appointed to replace him.

88 Energy (LON:88E), down 23.8%. The market hates uncertainty and the Alaska-focused explorer's drill results from the Icewine number one well have delivered plenty of ambiguity, with the post-drilling analysis delivering results that were contradictory to those received during drilling.

ECR Minerals (LON:ECR), down 22.2%. The Canadian NI43-101 technical report in respect of the Danglay gold project, formerly known as the Itogon project, is out. The company is mulling the extent to which it may carry out further exploration work.
