Cameroon-based gas utility specialist Victoria Oil and Gas (LON:VOG) has appointed an industry veteran to its board.
Iain Patrick is to join as a non-executive director, bringing more than 30 years’ experience, the company announced on Thursday.
He has previously been director of commercial & legal affairs at Gulf Keystone Petroleum (LON:GKP) and is currently chief executive of the oil and gas consultancy, Trinity Energy.
Patrick also serves as senior independent non-executive director of fellow AIM firm Madagascar Oil (LON:MOIL).
Kevin Foo, chief executive of Victoria, said Patrick, who doubles Victoria’s number of independent directors to two, brings “solid experience,” adding that he may look for another independent director to join next year.
AIM-listed VOG has been one of a handful of firms to successfully monetise gas in sub-Sahara Africa by developing the Logbaba gas field in Douala, Cameroon.
