With the exception of Bovis, the good times have continued to roll for house builders this year, which bodes well for Bellway's trading statement.
The full-year results statement in October was full of detail, so Friday's update may be light on commentary.
“We will be mainly focused on the group’s assessment of current market conditions and also the strength of the order book,” revealed Chris Millington at brokers Numis Securities.
“We continue to believe that Bellway is the most attractive stock in the sector with a track record only second to Berkeley, a strong balance sheet, good visibility through a strong forward order book and the potential to show strong volume growth in the medium term – which should ensure strong earnings and NAV [net asset value] growth,” Millington said.
