Bakery products specialist Real Good Food (LON:RGD) has moved into the sports supplement business with the acquisition of ISO2 Nutrition sports from administration for a nominal sum.
ISO2 Nutrition will integrate its range of bodybuilding supplements, whey protein and sports nutrition products into Real Good Food's Garrett Ingredients, which was already a customer.
Pieter Totté, RGF’s executive chairman, said the acquisition fitted its strategy of bolting on businesses within its cake decoration, premium bakery and food ingredient product lines.
"Garrett's has a long established relationship with the business and this enables us to enter a new and interesting channel, adding product and portfolio diversification, which is a deliberate move, as we decrease Garrett's dependency on the dairy and sugar commodities markets."
ISO2 was acquired from the administrator of Cre-8tive Health.
