Ashtead (LON:AHT) will be in focus on Wednesday as it is due to release interim results.
The equipment hire group had already indicated significant profit momentum, according to broker Numis, which in a recent note forecast the company would have a pre-tax profit of £177m (slightly ahead of £176mln consensus ) in the second quarter.
“The shares have outperformed by 13% over the past three months, rebounding from recent lows,” the broker said.
“However, we believe a calendar 2016E PE of 13x suggests the market is pricing in the beginning of the end of the cycle. We disagree, and believe there is further upside.”
Also due to report are:
Interims - Stagecoach Group PLC (LON:SGC), and Scholium Group (LON:SCHO)
Finals - Redhall Group (LON:RHL), Focusrite (LON:TUNE)
AGM / EGM - Shore Capital Group (LON:SGR)
