KEFI Minerals (LON:KEFI), up 15.4%. The recent placing has seen Standard Life's holding drop below 3% to 2.981%.
Coal of Africa (LON:CZA), up 14.3%. The company announced the signing of a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Qingdao Hengshun Zhongsheng Group with respect to a proposed equity investment in Baobab Mining and Exploration (Pty), a subsidiary of Coal of Africa.
Petra Diamonds (LON:PDL), up 11.6%. The company has a 49.9% stake in a joint venture that is to acquire the Kimberley Mines from diamond company DeBeers for 102mln rand.
LOSERS
Minco (LON:MIO), down 17.9%. The trading update at the firm's annual general meeting did not go down well, despite the company citing research that suggests zinc and lead prices are due a recovery.
Edge Resources (LON:EDG), down 11.8%. The half-yearly report made for grim reading, with the impact of tumbling energy prices seeing third quarter revenues slip to US$1.27mln from US$2.36mln the year before.
Sarossa (LON:SARS), down 10.4%. The investment company plans to jack it all in, buy back all of its shares and cancel its listing on AIM.

RISERS
Goldstone Resources (LON:GRL) up 44.4%. Investment company Metal Tiger (LON:MTR) has bought around a 3.4% stake in the company after it purchased 2.1mln shares.
Fulcrum Utility Services (LON:FCRM) up 15%. The infrastructure and services provider swung to a first half profit of £200,000 from a loss the previous year as sales and margins rose and costs fell.
China New Energy (LON:CNEL) up 11.8%. The company said it did not know why the share price had risen; noting there have been no new developments on its deal with Sunbird Bioenergy Africa, though a deal is expected to be signed this month.
FALLERS
ISG (LON:ISG) down 28.7%. The company said trading in its UK construction business has underwhelmed and will not meet expectations for the year, though everything else will.
BSD Crown (LON:BSD) down 21%. The firm swung to a third quarter profit, but the weak first half meant losses are still wider over the last nine months. Pre-tax losses for the first nine months of the year stood at US$21.9mln from just US$3.9mln.
Plutus PowerGen (LON:PPG) down 12%. Paternoster Resources sold 25mln shares in Plutus for £275,000 for 1.1p per share.

RISERS
Eco City (LON:ECV) up 73%. MXC Capital said it will invest in and act as financial adviser to Eco City Vehicles. The cash shell, listed on AIM, is looking to invest in the technology sector. MXC will take a 24.7% stake in Eco City for £1.3mln as part of a £5mln fundraising.
African Potash (LON:AFPO) up 14.3%. The firm is teaming up with South African investment firm Beryl Holdings in a deal that will expand and enhance its fertiliser operations.
Private & Commercial Finance (LON:PCF) up 9.2%. The consumer and business finance firm upgraded its forecasts for the year after a strong first half. In the six months to September, the firm saw pre-tax profits jump some 80% to £1.53mln from £850,000 the year before.
FALLERS
Sovereign Mines of Africa (LON:SMA) down 71.5%. After months of talks, the company has suspended talks with the potential partner to develop its Mandiana project as it failed to gain approval from the interested party’s board.
Brady (LON:BRY) down 51.3%. The group said it was taking longer than expected to convert potential business into firm contracts, meaning earnings would fall materially short of City hopes.
Caza Oil & Gas (LON:CAZA) down 40%. Its lender, Apollo Investment Management, has agreed to further leeway on the group’s US$45mln debt, with the forbearance period extended until the end of the year.
