Tern (LON:TERN), the technology investor, said Alan Howarth had been hired as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Howarth has extensive experience as a chairman and non-executive director of private and public companies and was previously a partner of Ernst & Young.
He was also managing director of Compass Management Consulting Limited.
Tern shares added 3.85% to 13.5p in early deals.
