Deltex Medical (LON:DEMG) has signed up two new US hospitals for its blood flow monitoring technology to take the total to fifteen.
A major teaching hospital in the mid-west region has agreed initially to purchase 40 oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM) probes per month, which includes 20 per month in the hospital's breast reconstruction surgical protocols to be launched in January 2016.
The other new account is a hospital in Washington State and the fourth in a procurement framework agreement signed in January with a 26-strong hospital group.
The agreement requires each hospital that participates to commit to purchase at least 30 adult surgical probes a month, though the other three hospitals already are now buying between 50 to 65 probes per month on average.
The new account contains a full service children's hospital and discussions are underway over extending the agreement to include paediatric probes.
Deltex now 15 US hospitals using its oesophageal Doppler monitoring platform with nine added this year.
Ewan Phillips, chief executive, said the aim eventually is for the US to become the company’s key territory.
“Deltex Medical is now half way towards our current goal of 30 US hospitals on our platform programme by mid-2016."
