Sabien Technology’s (LON:SNT) new sales strategy is starting to pay off, it told shareholders today, with the majority of clients in a pilot scheme signing up to its smart boiler technology.
Costs have risen though and Sabien cautioned extra expenditure to get the pilot running, additional staff and ongoing development would mean an interim loss to December.
The new plan involves Sabien waiving charges for pilot programmes rather than charging £20,000 as it did previously.
Sabien said it had offered free pilots to up to 35 potential clients with large boiler estates as part of a drive to boost the sales pipeline.
Of these, 21 clients had signed an agreement to go ahead, with six now live and the remainder being installed or surveyed pending installation.
Sabien added that its new chairman, Bruce Gordon, will take up his role after today’s AGM.
Shares eased 6% to 5.75p.
