Rare Earth Minerals’ (LON:REM) partner European Metals (ASX:EMH) has reported a significant lithium intercept from latest drilling at Cinovec in the Czech Republic.

Lithium was recorded over 163m at a grade of 0.40% to a depth of just over 400m. The results were similar to the mineralisation indicated by a previous hole.

Rare Earths has an 11.87% equity stake in EMH, which is the owner of the Cinovec.

David Lenigas, REM's Executive Chairman, said the result was as expected given the data from historic drillhole CN-51.

The drilling programme is now being accelerated with the addition of a second rig, he added.
