Fusionex (LON:FXI) has team up with Dell in a new strategic partnership to roll-out ‘Big Data’ analytics in Asia.
The plan is for the AIM quoted group, a software specialist in business intelligence, to combine its big data analytics software - called GIANT - with Dell’s enterprise infrastructure hardware solutions.
Together they aim to enable companies of all sizes to kick-start big data initiatives, Fusionex said.
Mak Chin Wah, Dell’s general manager of enterprise solutions, South Asia, described Fusionex as “a key strategic partner”.
"This partnership will enable us to extend our end-to-end capabilities to a broader set of customers. At the same time, we are confident that more customers will leverage powerful technology trends such as Big Data, which are shaping today's business landscape."
Meanwhile, Fusionex chief executive Ivan Teh, said: "We view this significant milestone as the beginning of a great partnership with immense potential.
“Together, we will be able to offer Fusionex's GIANT software and Dell's infrastructure to form a complete end-to-end solution.
“This will combine Dell's big data optimised hardware with Fusionex's proven analytics and data management platform. The partnership is also expected to broaden the distribution reach to both parties' clients across multiple geographies."
Fusionex shares gained 17.5p, 5.1%, to trade at 360p each.
