GoDaddy (NYSE:GDDY) advanced to the highest in more than four months on Thursday after a jump in international revenue helped the web hosting company post a narrower-than-estimated loss in the third quarter.
Shares gained 10.7% to $30.38 at 10 a.m. in New York, after reaching $30.60, the highest intraday price since June 25.
Net loss shrank to $2.5mln, or $0.04 loss per share, in the September quarter, from $27.6mln, or $0.21 loss per share, a year earlier, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said in a statement late on Wednesday.
Twelve analysts were looking for a loss of $0.07 per share, according to Capital IQ data.
Third-quarter revenue rose 15.2% to $411.1mln year over year, topping the Wall Street consensus of $408.6mln.
GoDaddy's international revenue jumped 17.4% to $105.3mln from a year earlier.
GoDaddy is managing more than 61mln Internet domains - or 20% of the world's total. It has been investing heavily to expand into new markets. The company plans to be in the greater Asia region by the end of 2016, including China, Indonesia and Vietnam.
GoDaddy's customer base grew 8.8% to 13.6mln.
For the fourth quarter, GoDaddy expects revenue in the range of $421mln to $424mln and adjusted EBITDA in the range of $70 - $73mln. Analysts were predicting $423.6mln.
