Risers and fallers, including Alliance Pharma, Thoams Cook, TUI AG and OPG Power

Here are some major share risers and fallers at 1.30pm.....

Here are some of the main movers at 3.30pm

RISERS

OPG Power Ventures (LON:OPG) added 6.85% to 85.75p. The India focused gave an upbeat assessment of prospects that included a reference to future dividend payments.

Alliance Pharma (LON:APH) shares added 2.85 to 55p. The junior pharma firm said it will receive £6.7mln in compensation after it settled with Sanofi Pasteur following the withdrawal of bladder cancer treatment ImmuCyst three years ago.

Property firm Barratt Developments (LON:BDEV) added 2.86% to 591p after falling earlier in the week on concerns about weaker house price inflation.

FALLERS

Amec Foster Wheeler (LON:AMFW) shares fell over 21.42% to 587p after the oil services group warned on profits and halved its dividend.

Thomas Cook (LON:TGC) fell 8.02% to 111.3p following news the UK government moved to action, suspending flights from the Egyptian resort of Sharma el-Sheikh after revealing it may have been an explosive that brought down the Russian passenger jet.

TUI AG (LON:TUI) also lost 1.03% on the development, to 1,148p.

Here are some major share risers and fallers at 1.30pm..

RISERS

SuperGroup (LON:SGP), the fashion clothes group, added almost 8% to 1,600p as its half year numbers impressed the City.

easyJet (LON:EZJ), the low cost carrier, bucked the tour operator trend, to fly 2.835 higher, at 1,781p.

Just Eat (LON:JE.) added a further 2.15% to 447.7p in the week the takeaway app specialist posted an impressive sales performance in the latest quarter. Orders leapt by 64% or by 48% on a like-for-like basis with three–quarters now made through a mobile phone or tablet.

FALLERS

Standard Chartered (LON:STAN) eased 4.95% to 636.10p after the stock got a downgrade from broker Macquarie due to what it called an "uninspiring" restructuring plan.

Amec Foster Wheeler (LON:AMFW) shares fell over 22% after the oil services group warned on profits and halved its dividend.

In a similar vein, or at least sector, Petrofac (LON:PFC) lost 7.5% in its share value on no news. Its shares are down 43% over the last five years, yet it has advanced nearly 15% in the last month.

RISERS

Pharmaceutical behemoth AstraZeneca (LON:AZN) added 3.61% to 4,275.5p as it cheered investors with an upgrade to annual profit and revenue targets. It said total annual revenue would match last year's rather than previous expectations for a low single-digit percentage decline against the previous year.

RSA Insurance (LON:RSA) gained 3.13% to 428.20p as the group revealed a turnaround plan on track, unveiling a 1% rise in underlying premium income in the first nine months.

In the FTSE 250, Foxtons Group added 3.53% to 194p as it rebounded from yesterday's fall where estate agents were pummelled by a warning from its peer Countrywide (LON:CWD) on profits, saying that earnings would be less than the £121.1mln last year.

FALLERS

Mining titan Randgold Resources (LON:RRS) saw shares slip 2.92% to 4,186p as it posted a fall in profits for the third quarter despite record production levels. Chief executive Mark Bristow said considering the gold price fall, the firm's profit performance continued to be creditable.

High Street supermarket Morrisons (LON:MRW) ticked 3.38% lower to 171.50p after it posted a drop in quarterly sales due to its own investments to cut prices and competition. But the firm said profit in the second half should be higher than the first.

Engineer Cobham (LON:COB) dropped 2.24% to 279p as it told investors it expects underlying EPS of the year to be at the lower end of current market expectations.
