Eurasia Mining (LON:EUA) has started on the mine model for its West Kytlim alluvial platinum project following award of its production permit.
Recent work at the Urals-located deposit in Russia has included mine technical design planning, forestry applications and additional exploration to enhance and expand the mine ore feed.
The model includes electrically powered drag lines and plant with production scheduled to start in 2016.
Christian Schaffalitzky Eurasia’s managing director said he was delighted that after a long period of build up the company now holds a Production Licence at West Kyltim.
“We are now making large steps forward in our Mine Development Plan with a focus on achieving first production in 2016.
Schaffalitzky added talks over possible investment in to its Monchetundra project, a much larger platinum site in the Urals are ongoing with a sale of its interest an alternative.
First results from the current drilling and trenching programme at Monchetundra project are expected shortly, he said.
