U.S. Risers/Fallers: Alphabet, Microsoft, AT&T, Pandora Media, Skechers, American Airlines

Below are the main news driven share price changes at 11:56 a.m. in New York on Friday:

RISERS

Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) jumped 8% to $735 after reaching a record high of $752.50. Solid progress in mobile and video advertising helped the new holding company for Google post third-quarter earnings and revenue beat and announce a share buyback.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) surged 10.3% to $52.98, after touching a 52-week high of $53.61. Burgeoning demand for cloud products helped the world’s largest software maker to beat profit estimates for its fiscal first quarter.

AT&T (NYSE:T) rose 0.5% to $34.12 as the carrier lifted its full-year earnings forecast.

FALLERS

Pandora Media (NYSE:P) plunged 33% to $12.91. The provider of music streaming services reported a bigger quarterly loss as content acquisition costs nearly doubled.

Skechers USA (NYSE:SKX) plummeted 35% to $30.17 after currency headwinds and sluggish retail environment prompted the sports footwear maker to post third-quarter sales that fell below Wall Street estimates.

American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) slipped 2% to $45.06. The world’s largest airline reported an 80% jump in profit in the September quarter, driven by lower fuel prices.

Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR) sank 8.9% to $145.70 after the appliance maker slightly lowered its full-year guidance.
