Sunrise hits high silver grades from first holes in Nevada

Best grades included 1,460 g/t silver (42.6 oz/ton), 566 g/t and 503 g/t over narrow widths at depths below 70m.

Sunrise Resources (LON:SRES) has intersected high grades of silver in all of its first three drill holes at its Bay State silver project in Nevada.

Best grades included 1,460 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (42.6 oz/ton), 566 g/t and 503 g/t over narrow widths at depths below 70 metres.

Sunrise added the results from the Chihuahua vein system were as expected from 3-D modelling, while there were also high grade discoveries outside the known vein system.

Patrick Cheetham, executive chairman, said he was pleased with the success so far, but added that only a small portion of the licence had been explored, with drilling widely spaced and relatively shallow.

“We need to drill many more holes to get a true picture of the silver mineralisation but this is an excellent start."
