Goldman Sachs fires employees caught cheating

Some people suggest the 11th commandment is: Thou shalt not get caught

Controversial investment bank Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) has dismissed 20 junior employees for cheating on internal training tests.

The employees had been working in the investment bank’s securities division.

“This conduct was not just a clear violation of the rules, but completely inconsistent with the values we foster at the firm,” claimed Sebastian Howell, speaking on behalf of Goldman Sachs.

Another spokesman, Michael DuVally, uttered the exact same words in a quote given to news agency Marketwatch, suggesting the company has closed ranks and adopted a party line on the matter.

There were no details on what sort of tests the employees had been cheating on, but since the entire industry was swamped with scandals in the previous decade the number of “know your customer” and compliance training programs has multiplied exponentially.
