Savannah Resources (LON:SAV) told investors it has now kicked off a new drill programme in Oman.
The explorer is set to drill ten test holes in the Block 4 permit area, it confirmed.
It is part of the group’s programme which will ultimately see it earn a 65% in the project.
The holes have been designed to test targets identified in the findings of a VTEM survey and historical copper results.
These include the Aarja and Gaddamah prospects.
Targets are near to previously producing copper mines at the site, which collectively produced more than 190,000 tonnes of copper.
