RISERS

Tern (LON:TERN) up 16.1%. The tech investor’s Cryptosoft arm has signed a strategic partnership with cyber security specialist Device Authority.

Empyrean Energy (LON:EME) up 13.6%. The company revealed an independent upgrade of its reserves volumes at the Sugarloaf project, in the Eagle Ford play, Texas.

Flybe (LON:FLYB) up 3.9%. The regional airline recorded a 10.7% increase in passenger numbers to 2.4mln during the second quarter, with a 13% rise in sales.

Bellway (LON:BWY) up 3.1%. The Housebuilder announced record sales and a 44% rise in annual profits but said skilled workers were still at a premium.

FALLERS

Weir Group (LON:WEIR) down 5%. The engineering company was hit by a double broker downgrade. Morgan Stanley cut its target price to 1,200p from 1,360p, while UBS cut its price target on the company to 1,800p from 2,000p.

Evraz (LON:EVR) down 4.9%. Miners were down due to concerns about China's economic health. Exports declined in September while imports plunged due to a drop in commodity prices and subdued domestic demand.

RISERS

Mobile Streams (LON:MOS) up 38.5%. Shares continue to rocket after more than doubling yesterday on the news, that changes to counteract the hit from a devaluing Argentina peso seem to be working. It reported a rise in pre-tax profit to £832,000 last year, from £153,000 the year before, despite a large fall in revenue.

LiDCO Group (LON:LID) up 10%. Pre-tax losses widened in the first half but the company said it will swing to a profit in the second half and should be breakeven by the end of the year. It also signed a five-year purchasing deal with US firm MedAssets.

SABMiller (LON:SAB) up 8.5%. The company has bowed to a fourth revised offer from rival Brewer Anheuser‑Busch InBev (ABI) valuing the South African brewer at £68bn.

FALLERS

Arrow Global (LON:ARW) down 9.2%. A group including the chief executive, CFO and other executives along with an institutional investor sold £27.5mln shares in the company at 250p a pop, around 6.3% of the Total shares in issue.

Royal Mail (LON:RMG) down 5.3%. The government’s remaining 13% shareholding in the company is being sold for nearly £600mln.

Barclays (LON:BARC) down 3.5%. The banking giant is set to appoint a former JP Morgan Chase banker as its new chief executive.

RISERS

MediaZest (LON:MDZ) up 42.4%. The company said since it its last update in August, it has agreed new business with Hyundai and Rockstar, with work continuing with Adidas and the Post Office. Diesel, Molson Coors and John Lewis have all been added as clients, with the Total combined revenue of these projects around £1mln, most of which is expected to contribute to this year’s results.

RWS Holdings (LON:RWS) up 17.9%. An update for the year to September 30 revealed pre-tax profit will be ahead of market expectations following a strong second half.

Proactis Holdings (LON:PHD) up 7.7%. The company has improved its pre-tax profit to £1.5mln, from £146,000, with sales also higher. Also, Screwfix has selected its supplier network technology to improve trading with suppliers.

FALLERS

Image Scan Holdings (LON:IGE) down 16.9%. Total sales fell to £1.7mln, from £2mln the year before while sales, as preciously noted, were hit by delays in the product development though these issues have now been fixed.

Auhua Clean Energy (LON:ACE) down 15.2%. Non-executive director and chairman David Summer has resigned from the board to pursue his other business commitments.

Galantas Gold (LON:GAL) down 14.2%. Permission was granted by the Department of Environment Northern Island (DOENI) may be about to be challenged in a judicial review the company said today.
