RISERS

Quadrise Fuel International (LON:QFI) up 7.6%. Ian Williams, chairman, said the company has never been in a better position to succeed in spite of the

Styles & Wood (LON:STY) up 7%. The group’s chairman, Paul Mitchell, bought 22,120 shares at 200.5p a pop today taking his stake to 0.7%.

Carillion (LON:CLLN) up 5%. The construction and support services company has secured business worth around £1.7bn since the end of its first half and reiterated its targets for 2015.

Bank of Georgia (LON:BGEO) up 4.9%. The company is to spin off its healthcare subsidiary in a float on the London Stock Exchange which it hopes will raise US$100mln.

FALLERS

Glencore (LON:GLEN) down 6.5%. The commodity trader its wholly-owned Cobar copper mine in Australia and Lomas Bayas copper mine in Chile as prices of the industrial metal fall.

Rolls Royce (LON:RR.) down 4.2%. According to reports, European regulators have launched a probe into its aircraft maintenance contracts, to check if airlines are entering anti-competitive deals.

Oracle Coalfields (LON:ORCP) up 11.5%. It has entered into a group deal with Shangdon Electric Power of China, whereby two companies will act as sponsors for a new 600Mwt power plant in Pakistan.

Hayward Tyler (LON:HAYT) up 9.3%. The 200-year old engineering group this morning unveiled plans to acquire Peter Brotherhood, a UK maker of steam turbines and gas compressors, from Dresser-Rand, an arm of German industrial giant Siemens for US$15mln.

Petards Group (LON:PEG) up 9.6%. The company won a contract to supply rail tech company Bombardier Transportation with its eyeTrain surveillance system.

FALLERS

Cap-XX (LON:CPX) down 12.7%. The company remains confident of its full year results but said, due to improvements made to its supercapacitors, it will see deferment of some orders from the first half to the second half of the year.

Tethys Petroleum (LON:TPL) down 8.4%. The company has been asked to withdraw from the Bokhtar exploration venture in Tajikistan.

88 Energy (LON:88E) down 5.6%. Its oil discharge prevention and contingency plan was approved but its permit to drill has been delayed due to a request for more information from the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Mobile Streams (LON:MOS) up 25.6%. The company’s changes to counteract the hit from a devaluing Argentina peso seem to be working. It reported a rise in pre-tax profit to £832,000 last year, from £153,000 the year before, despite a large fall in revenue.

Physiomics (LON:PYC) up 16.4%. The company has signed its fourth largest deal with a new pharma company for its virtual tumour technology.

BMR Mining (LON:BMR) up 12.7%. J A Consultancy has submitted BMR's draft Environmental and Social Impact Assessment application to the Zambian Environmental Management Agency.

FALLERS

Sefton Resources (LON:SER) down 36.2%. The company’s prospective replacement nominated advisor has backed out. Allenby Capital, the existing nomad, is resigning when the new board take over. Any company without a nominated advisor has its trading on AIM immediately suspended.

eServGlobal (LON:ESG) down 13.8%. The company said there has been delays in closing some high margin contracts and as such, revenue and earnings will be below expectations.

Telit Communications (LON:TCM) down 10.6%. The company has tweaked its current year guidance lower due to slower than expected deployment of its latest machine–to-machine (m2m) modules.
