U.S. Risers/Fallers: Costco, EMC, Talen Energy, Caesars, Lumber, Domino’s Pizza

Below are the main news driven share price changes at 10:54 a.m. in New York on Thursday:

RISERS

Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ:COST) added 1.3% to $149.94 after the warehouse retailer reported flat comparable-store sales for September, better than the StreetAccount estimate of a 0.8 percent drop.

EMC (NYSE:EMC) rose 3.1% to $26.75 after media reports indicated that the data storage products company is in advanced talks to be bought by computer maker Dell and private equity firm Silver Lake Partners. The Wall Street Journal said a deal could be reached within a week.

Talen Energy (NYSE:TLN) rose 3.5% to $10.85 after the power producer said it would sell three plants in Pennsylvania for $1.51bn.

Caesars Entertainment (NASDAQ:CZR) climbed 5.4% to $8.24, rising for the fifth time in six sessions, after the casino operator said its unit filed an amended restructuring plan along with a disclosure statement in a U.S. bankruptcy court.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings (NYSE:LL) jumped 9.1% to $15.92 after the struggling hardwood flooring retailer agreed to pay $10mln to resolve a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into the import of certain flooring products in 2013.

FALLERS

Domino's Pizza (NYSE:DPZ) fell 2.2% to $105.60 after the second-largest U.S. pizza chain reported a quarterly profit that lagged behind Wall Street expectations amid ongoing pressure from a strong dollar.
