U.S. Risers/Fallers: PepsiCo, Freeport, Skyworks, AmerisourceBergen, Illumina, Container Store, SunEdison

Below are the main news driven share price changes at 10:24 a.m. in New York on Tuesday:

RISERS

PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) added 1.9% to $97.56 as the maker of Cheetos and Gatorade reported quarterly profit that topped market expectations, helped by hiked prices and reduced costs.

Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE:FCX) rose 5.8% TO $11.83 after the natural resource company said it is reviewing options for its oil-and-gas business.

FALLERS

Skyworks Solutions (NASDAQ:SWKS) fell 3.6% to $78.93, reversing an earlier gain. The Apple supplier said it would buy chipmaker PMC-Sierra for $2bn in cash to expand its portfolio.

AmerisourceBergen (NYSE:ABC) dropped 0.8% to $94.15, erasing an earlier rise. The drug distributor bought PharMEDium Healthcare from private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $2.575bn in cash.

Illumina (NASDAQ:ILMN) plunged 15% to $138.19 after the genetic sequencing products company cut its sales outlook for the remainder of the year. Illumina cited a weak European market, and Japan sales that are not recovering as fast as expected.

Container Store Group (NYSE:TCS) tumbled 13.8% to $13.42 after the retailer of storage products said its earnings fell 62% in the August quarter.

SunEdison (NYSE:SUNE) fluctuated and was last down 0.9% at $8.96. The solar company will cut about 15% of its workforce under a restructuring. It will take a charge of up to $40mln as a result.
