U.S. Risers/Fallers: Conatus, Arrowhead, Caterpillar, BHP, Accenture, KB Home

Here's a look at the main movers as of xxx in New York on XXXXXX:

RISERS

Conatus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:CNAT) gained 6.5% to $6.11, paring an earlier rally. The microcap biotech company said one of its drugs lowered blood pressure with severe portal hypertension.

Arrowhead Research (NASDAQ:ARWR) rallied 17.6% to $7.93 after the drug developer released data showing its experimental hepatitis B treatment significantly reduced the virus in humans and chimpanzees.

Worthington Industries (NYSE:WOR) rose 12% to 24.48 after the metals manufacturing company reported stronger adjusted earnings for its fiscal first quarter despite lower steel and energy prices.

FALLERS

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) slumped 6.2% to $65.89, extending a 5-year low, after the world’s largest maker of construction and mining equipment lowered its 2015 revenue outlook and unveiled a restructuring and cost-reduction plans that could lead to more than 10,000 job cuts.

ADRs of BHP Billiton (NYSE:BHP) fell 1.3% to $31.74 after BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, reduced its stake in the mining company by a substantial amount.

Accenture (NYSE:ACNO) skidded 0.9% t o$97.04. The consulting company said its profit and revenue held up better than expected in its August quarter and offered an earnings outlook for its newly-started fiscal year near the high end of Wall Street expectations.

KB Home (NYSE:KBH) retreated 4.8% to $13.80 after the home builder said profit fell in its latest quarter, as higher land costs and an impairment charge offset surging revenue.
