RISERS
Denbury Resources (NYSE:DNR) gained 7.2% to $3.11 as the oil driller reinstated its share-repurchase program, while suspending its dividend payments.
Atmel (NASDAQ:ATML) jumped 11.7% to 8.12. The maker of chips used in industrial machinery and cars agreed to be acquired for $4.6bn by Dialog Semiconductor (OTCMKTS:DLGNF) (FRA:DLG), an Anglo-German company.
Lennar (NYSE:LEN) fell 1.6% to $50.89, erasing earlier gains. The house builder topped expectations with its quarterly results, on the back of a steadily improving housing market.
FALLERS
GoPro (NASDAQ:GPRO) fell 7.6% to $32.47 after Barron’s said the maker of mountable and wearable cameras could plunge to $25.
Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) fell 1.5% to $32.37, reversing an earlier gain. The biopharmaceutical company said its rheumatoid arthritis treatment showed improvement in two late-stage clinical studies for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.
