U.S. Risers/Fallers: Kroger, Restoration Hardware, Pfizer, Zumiez, Mattress Firm, Mondelez

Here's a look at the main movers as of 2:52 p.m.in New York on Friday:

RISERS

Kroger (NYSE:KR) rose 5.1% to $37.20 after the largest U.S. supermarket operator reported a 25% higher-than-expected profit in its fiscal second quarter, aided by lower operating expenses and higher fuel margins.

Restoration Hardware (NYSE:RH) gained 8.2% to $98.50. The home furnishings retailer reported adjusted quarterly profit of 85 cents per share, $0.01 above estimates. Revenue was also above forecasts, and the company increased its full-year forecast as well.

Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) was up 0.4% at $32.76, reversing an earlier loss. The world’s largest U.S. drugmaker suffered a major setback in Britain when the High Court in London ruled that claims of patent protection for the use of its $5bn-a-year drug Lyrica as a pain treatment were invalid.

FALLERS

Zumiez (ZUMZ) plunged 31.2% to $14.90 after the sports apparel retailer provided a gloomy outlook while reporting second-quarter profit more-than-halved.

Mattress Firm (NASDAQ:MFRM) sank 22.3% to $46.91. The mattress retailer missed estimates by $0.05 with adjusted quarterly profit of $0.67 per share, with revenue also missing forecasts.

Mondelez International (NASDAQ:MDLZ) was up 0.4% at $42.53. Pershing Square's Bill Ackman told CNBC the snack maker could be an acquisition target.
