US Risers/Fallers: TiVo, Netflix, Men’s Wearhouse, McDonald’s, Quiksilver, Amazon

Here's a look at the main movers at 11:25 a.m. in New York on Wednesday:

RISERS

TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) advanced 0.8% to $9.17 after the digital video recorder maker guided for current-quarter service and software revenue above market expectations.

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose 1.6% to $525.95. The e-commerce giant is expanding Kindle Scout, its reader-powered publishing platform, to more authors and readers around the world.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) gained 6.3% to $100.90 after saying it would expand into four additional Asian markets, following its entry plans into Japan earlier this month.

FALLERS

Men's Wearhouse (NYSE:MW) sank 8.6% to $51.61. The apparel retailer reported a sales jump of nearly 15% in the second quarter, despite continuing struggles at its Jos. A. Bank chain.

McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) skidded 0.3% to $96.44, reversing an earlier gain. McDonald's reported a 2.8% same-restaurant sales increase in August for its Japan unit, the first rise in 19 months.

Quiksilver (NYSE:ZQK), the struggling surfwear maker, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for its U.S. units with a plan to hand control over to its senior lenders.
