U.S. Risers/Fallers: Best Buy, Boeing, Toll Brothers, Apple, BHP Billiton, DSW, Sanderson Farms

Here's a first look at the main movers in New York at 12:01 p.m.:

RISERS

Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) leaped 14% to $33.29 after the world's largest electronics chain reported an unexpected 12% increase in profit for its fiscal second-quarter, buoyed by strong sales of large screen televisions and mobile phones. Shares leaped in premarket.

Boeing (NYSE:BA) gained 2.4% to $130.24 after the U.S. plane maker lifted its forecast for China's aircraft demand over the next 20 years.

Toll Brothers (NYSE:TOL) fell 1% to $37.70 after the high-end house builder reported a slide in profit and revenue in its third quarter. However, it said the U.S. housing recovery was built on a 'solid foundation'.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) surged 5.6% to $108.91The stock was upgraded to "outperform" from "market perform" at Wells Fargo, which cites valuation after the recent decrease in the stock's price.

ADRs OF BHP Billiton (NYSE:BBL) jumped 5.7% to $34.01 even as the super-miner tightened its belt and gave a gloomy assessment of prospects for China and it reported a sharp fall in annual earnings.

FALLERS

DSW (NYSE:DSW) tumbled 9.2% to $28.08 after the footwear and accessories retailer reported revenue that lagged behind market expectations for its fiscal second quarter.

Sanderson Farms (NASDAQ:SAFM) skidded 3.3% to $65.67. The poultry producer fell substantially shy of the $2.90 consensus estimate with quarterly profit of $2.27, while revenue was also below forecasts.
