U.S. Risers/Fallers: Apple, Visa, Yahoo, Alibaba, Netflix, BofA, AGL

Below are the main share price changes at 1:10 p.m. in New York on Monday:

RISERS

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) bounced back, rising 1.9% to $107.77 after falling as much as 10.2%.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) rose 2% to $105.99, reversing an earlier drop of as much as 16%. The company agreed to partner with Japan’s SoftBank Group (OTCMKTS:SFTBY) for the Japanese launch of its video-streaming service on September 2.

AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) surged 29.6% to $62.60 after the natural gas company agreed to be acquired by power producer Southern Co (NYSE:SO) for about $8bn.

CBS (NYSE:CBS) turned positive, rising 1% to $45.54, after declining to as low as $40.75.

FALLERS

Celgene (NASDAQ:CELG) fell 0.3% to $118.66 after the biopharmaceutical company tumbled as much as 21% in early trading.

Visa (NYSE:V) was down 0.5% at $68.96, trimming an earlier decline of as much as 10%.

Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) fell more 2.1% to $32.22 along with China e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:BABA), as China growth worries rattle global markets. Alibaba fell more than 2% below its initial public offering price.

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) skidded 1% to $15.94 even as the bank's shares were upgraded to "outperform" from "market perform" at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.

RISERS

AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) surged 26.7% to $60.60 after the natural gas company agreed to be acquired by power producer Southern Co (NYSE:SO) for about $8bn.

FALLERS

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) fell 1.8% to $103.75, paring an earlier loss of 10.2%, after shares entered bear-market territory on Friday.

Celgene (NASDAQ:CELG) fell 2.5% to $115.97 after the biopharmaceutical company tumbled as much as 21% at the opening.

Visa (NYSE:V) was down 3..2% at $68.96, trimming an earlier decline of as much as 10%.

Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) fell more than 2.9% to $31.99 along with China e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:BABA), as China growth worries rattle global markets. Alibaba fell more than 4.3% below its initial public offering price.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) dropped 5.8% to $97.95 as it agreed to partner with Japan’s SoftBank Group (OTCMKTS:SFTBY) for the Japanese launch of its video-streaming service on September 2.

Nike (NYSE:NKE) gave up 2.3% to $104.47 even as the athletic footwear and apparel retailer's stock was upgraded to "outperform" at Telsey Advisory Group.

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) skidded 2.3% to $15.74 even as the bank's shares were upgraded to "outperform" from "market perform" at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
