U.S. Risers/Fallers: NetApp, Keysight, L Brands, Sears, Valeant, Kirkland’s

Here's a first look at the main movers in early deals in New York on Thursday:

RISERS

NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) rose 4.7% to $31.13 after the data management company guided for current-quarter revenue that topped market expectations

Keysight Technologies (NYSE:KEYS) advanced 12% to $33.01 after the world’s largest electronics measurement company provided a robust revenue forecast while posting better-than-expected adjusted earnings for the past quarter.

L Brands (NYSE:LB) added 1.8% to $82.64. The owner of brands including Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Work again boosted its full-year earnings forecast, driven by continued sales growth.

FALLERS

Sears Holdings (NASDAQ:SHLD) fell 4.9% to $22.19. The U.S. department store operator second-quarter revenue and same-store sales continued to slide.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals (NYSE:VRX) fell 2.8% to $238.07. Canada’s largest drug-maker said it will pay $1bn for Sprout Pharmaceuticals Inc., the closely held company that just won approval to sell the first drug that aims to boost a woman’s libido.

Kirkland’s (NASDAQ:KIRK) tumbled 7.8% to $24.60. The home-decor retailer said its loss widened in the second quarter as higher expenses offset rising sales.
