Business consultancy Accenture (NYSE:ACN) marginally topped forecasts with its fiscal fourth quarter earnings.
Analysts had penciled in a figure of US$1.12 for earnings per share (EPS), but the firm reported EPS of US$1.15, up from US$1.08 in the same quarter of last year.
Net income in the three months to the end of August came in at US$778.6mln, versus US$744.7mln the year before.
Revenue rose to US$1.89bn from US$7.78bn.
Shares edged up 22 cents to US$97.89 in a falling market, and are up 9.6% year-to-date.
